The Moors and Christians Festival of El Campello brings to life the 16th-century battles between Christians and Berber pirates with dazzling parades, fireworks, costumes, music, and live reenactments by the sea.
🌅 Festival Highlights
⚔️ The Landing (Desembarco)
- Date: Sunday, October 12 – 7:00 a.m.
- Location: Carrer la Mar Beach
- Witness an epic seaside reenactment as the Moorish fleet arrives and Christian forces defend the coast.
- Followed by fireworks, music, and the spectacular Moors and Christians Parade that evening.

🏰 Medieval Market
- Dates: October 8–12
- Location: Plaza de la Constitución & nearby streets
- A lively open-air market with medieval crafts, local food, live music, and performances.
💃 Parades & Music
- Daily parades with bands, costumes, and traditional Valencian dances.
- “Les Danses”, Retreta Festera, and Alardo (gunpowder battle) fill the town with rhythm and color.

- Arrive early for the Desembarco (around 6:30 a.m.) — beaches fill quickly.
- Bring ear protection for gunpowder battles (Alardo).
